Nebel lang - Werkstatt-Konzert
“A month ago, Sebastian, a listener of Home Normal, wrote to me asking whether I could imagine playing a concert in Berlin if he managed to provide a piano. My answer was positive, requesting only that it would not be a grand piano, but rather an old piano longing for some affection.
Only a few days later, he and his colleagues picked up an old piano that had been played in a youth club, which was now giving it away for free. In need of a suitable space, they brought it to a workshop in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, owned by the bicycle manufactory where they work.
Still in the process of tuning, we decided to hold the concert the next day in the bicycle workshop itself.
Every chair around the piano was occupied by very respectful listeners.
I am deeply grateful for these connections.
Thank you, Sebastian.”

sehrsehr One of the greatest moments of my existence.
Is there a medical term describing not being able to tell if your own heartrate is low or high?
What an opportunity.
Thank you.
The Questionable Question Over forty-three minutes of music are offered here and it comes in one long chunk. It is an act—strange, distant, and warm—that breathes through the wood of the piano until the final note pales, leaving only the memory of a season passed.
