“When I found myself at the lowest point in my life, photography found me. It helped me be attentive and be present, which then allowed me to see and appreciate the hidden beauty that surrounded me every day. With the realization that today’s smallest and unacknowledged moments are often tomorrow’s most precious memories that I hold so dear to my heart, I used my camera as a sort of a time-machine to experience tomorrow’s nostalgic moments, today. This helped me fully experience the present and appreciate every fleeting moment and beauty.
Now I continue my photography to remind myself of this past journey/realization and to keep myself disciplined from going down that path again -- to remind myself that life is beautiful if I choose to intentionally see it and appreciate it, wholeheartedly."
